  Hello GPAA and guests

 Our meeting was called to order by Tommie at 6 pm. DeAnna, president, is sick and Ken, vice-president was sick also. We had 9 visitors with 90 people attending. The outing for this weekend has been canceled. Deanna is still sick and will not be able to be there, therefore it has been rescheduled for March 6th. Please email @dcosten@coxnet" or call DeAnna 452-1049 and let her know if you will be attending on this date! Doug will be at 33 Thursday, Friday and Saturday. He has visitors from Colorado & Philadelphia coming out Tommie spoke about the Phoenix, AZ show which was February 13th and 14th. DeAnna and Tommie, Susie and Doug and Charlotte attended. Our chapter will be awarded credits from GPAA for attending. Also the Gold Show at South Point will be April 17th and 18th. Please show up on Friday, April 16th at 8 am to help out with setting up. Everyone that shows up to help, the chapter will be awarded credits. The week of February 15th through the 20th there was an officers/state directors meeting in Stanton. We were given items from distributors for our chapter for door prizes. Doug donated three gold grabber pans, 2 hats and minelab digging tool that he had won. Doug also donated copies of the Gold Fever show for the library. Also, please check out books from our growing library. You can contact Jake at 326-9043 or email him at <A href="mailto:prospector1@cox.net">prospector1@cox.net</A>. You can find the list on our web site at "http://www.lvgpaa.org/"  Nuggetbrain, AZ State Director of the Durango chapter, stated that the outing for the Las Vegas Chapter may have to be in August because of the snow. This will be determined at a later date. Osceola may be the replacement outing for July. DeAnna will let us know at a later date. The Gem club will have geologist class and is offered to our chapter. The class will be starting on March 9th for 10 weeks. The cost will be $20 for books and $10 for the class. Dan Nezgova will be the instructor. He is a member of the Gem club. For more information contact Howard at Desert Outfitters. For the March meeting there will be a seminar on 5 different pans at the meeting. The gold nugget for GPAA members was won by Barre. The 50/50 was $145 (didn't get his name).
